Terms of Service

Overview

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of salmanittools.co.uk ("the Site"), operated by Salman Tariq trading as SalmanIT Tools ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Site, downloading any of our software, or using any of our online tools, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the Site or its tools.

Use of the Site and Tools

The Site provides free Windows utility software for download, along with browser-based online tools including but not limited to a QR code generator, password generator, image compressor, Conditional Access policy explainer, network diagnostics, and a Microsoft 365 security scanner.

• All tools are provided free of charge for personal and commercial use.
• You may use the tools and download the software for any lawful purpose.
• You must not attempt to reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the downloadable software as your own product without attribution.
• You must not use the Site or its tools for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that could damage, disable, or impair the Site.

No Warranty

The Site, its tools, and downloadable software are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

While every effort is made to ensure our tools function correctly and our Windows utilities perform safe, well-documented operations, we do not guarantee that the Site or any tool will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every system configuration.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Site, its tools, or any downloaded software — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

For the Microsoft 365 Security Scanner specifically: this tool requests read-only permissions via Microsoft's official OAuth flow and does not modify your tenant configuration in any way. However, you remain responsible for reviewing and managing the permissions granted to any third-party application registered in your Microsoft Entra ID, and for revoking access when no longer needed.

Third-Party Services

Some tools rely on third-party services to function:

• The Microsoft 365 Security Scanner uses Microsoft's official authentication (MSAL) and Microsoft Graph API.
• The contact form is processed via Formspree.
• The Site displays advertisements served by Google AdSense, which may use cookies as described in our Privacy Policy.

We are not responsible for the availability, content, or practices of these third-party services. Your use of them is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

Intellectual Property

The Site's design, branding, original written content, and the source code of the tools (except where explicitly open-sourced) are the property of Salman Tariq / SalmanIT Tools. You may use the tools as provided, but you may not copy, reproduce, or republish the Site's design or content without permission.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date at the top. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
